My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

True to his name, Hershey is a sweet boy with rich chocolate-colored fur and soulful eyes that will melt your heart. This 4½-year-old Cockapoo came to us as an owner surrender after it was discovered he just wasn’t the right fit for his previous home, and now he’s hoping to find a family where he can truly thrive.

Hershey can be a little timid when meeting new people, but with a little patience and kindness, he usually warms up and shows his affectionate, loving side. He would do best in a calm, understanding home that can give him time to build trust at his own pace.

Hershey is not a big fan of the groomer and can be a bit territorial, so he’ll need adopters who are experienced, gentle, and willing to work with him through positive reinforcement and consistency. With the right people, Hershey has so much love to give and will make a loyal, devoted companion.
