Here's what the humans have to say about me:
At just 2 years old, Vivian has spent most of her life at the shelter—but her story is all about becoming fully alive. True to her name, Vivian (which means “full of life”) has blossomed from a shy, trembling stray into a joyful, playful dog who’s learning to trust the world around her.
When she first arrived, new people and places felt overwhelming. With patience and love from her shelter friends, Vivian has gained confidence and now greets new friends with a wagging tail and bright eyes. She’s gone on long hikes with volunteers, loves to swim, and absolutely enjoys rough-and-tumble playtime with other dogs. She checks in often with her people for reassurance, praise, and pets.
Vivian is housetrained, treat-motivated, and walks beautifully on leash once she gets past her initial excitement. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and truly thrives with a person—and maybe a playful canine companion—of her own.
Come meet Vivian at APA on Cesar Chavez and see just how full of life she’s become.
