My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a curious, kind, and cuddly companion? Goose (Berry) is ready to prance straight into your heart.

Born outside in BedStuy to the sweetest momma, Goose and her siblings were rescued at just weeks old and brought inside to begin the FIP life. From the start, Goose showed her brave yet gentle spirit — the first to leave the kitten cuddle-pile to investigate the humans, then sweetly encouraging her siblings to follow.

Goose is a world-class greeter. Guests? She’ll meet them at the door. Laps? She’ll claim them immediately. Her purr starts the second she’s touched, and she’s happiest snuggling on or near you while you work, relax, or entertain.

Playtime is just as important — she loves chasing balls and wand toys, especially with her sister Persy. The two balance each other perfectly: Goose the adventurer, Persy the planner. They’re a dreamy duo and would love to be adopted together. If not, Goose will need another gentle, affectionate feline friend in her forever home.

If you want a cat who is equal parts brave explorer and devoted cuddlebug — Goose is your girl.

Goose is up to date on her vaccines, fixed, microchipped, and FIV & FeLV negative.

Additional adoption info

Our cats are almost all in foster homes. Upon approval of your application (including reference check), we will connect you with the foster parent(s) so that you can meet the kitty you're interested in. If it's a good fit, we'll do a home check for safety issues, and then process the paperwork so that you can officially adopt your new family member!

More about this rescue

We are a network of rescuers in Central Brooklyn (primarily in Bed Stuy, Ocean Hill, and Crown Heights) who help each other out. We do both TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) as well as the rescue and adoption of friendly cats and kittens that we find on the streets. We don't have a physical facility, so our cats are usually in foster homes, or staying with us in our own homes. Our goal is to find loving, permanent homes for all the cats we take off the street, and to make better lives for the ones we return there.
