Rarely do we offer a group of cats that are not in your face friendly to start off, but this group of 5 half sisters and sisters is an exception. Why? We know that in their former home, they were all friendly and happy but sadly they have been traumatized by the death of their owner and now find themselves in bumpy waters. Each can go solo and shine - we know it - but all will be shy at first and need families understanding that they need time and patience and a lot of reinforced cuddling. All are not aggressive, just sad and fearful of the unknown. Pandora is the ONLY one already out of her shell and head booping and purring and we know she is just like her sisters who still are not as brave. They are fine with other pets too. We suggest NO young children or loud homes - apartments are fine! Houses fine too if at first they are given a small space to decompress.
All FYI are TINY PETITE and way smaller than they appear in photos. It is possible that all are younger than we have aged them, but we had no info from family surrendering so we gave them a "max" age. And we are guessing on their relationship to each other.

Paisley - 1yr Ragdoll Maine Coon mix - spectacular and snuggly
Pandora - 2yr Turkish Van Russian Blue mix - soft SNUGGLY and already FRIENDLY head booper - she is the outgoing one already
Priscilla - 2y Russian Blue and is more shut down but loves chin scratches n' cuddles
Pixie - 3yr Ragdoll Maine Coon - oldest of the bunch but might be younger - soft snuggly and just breathtaking
Primrose - 2yr old Ragdoll Maine Coon - buddies with Priscilla but also so soft n' snuggly and coming out of her shell like Pandora
Please make sure to READ our ADOPTION GUIDELINES. Also if you are UNDER 23yrs OLD YOU MUST HAVE A PARENT/GUARDIAN to cosign or apply. We do not test for breed or hypoallergenic qualities so please do not ask!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered - are fully vaccinated - and up to date on necessary vet care. Some animals that are listed are special needs might have chronic problems that the adopter would cover for future vetting, although this is rare.

Welcome to Rock N' Rescue! We are a 501c3 cat rescue (and a few dogs!) based in Westchester County NY. Our goal is not only to save the lives of kittens and cats coming from high kill shelters, but to raise awareness of many issues concerning animal welfare. We also have a therapy cat program, providing special cats deemed gentle enough to be able to relieve stress for individuals suffering from illness, PTSD and other stress/trauma in their lives. All of our cats must go to an indoor only home and are not allowed to be declawed (unless they are rescued already declawed). Adopters are encouraged to post happy tales here too!
We also are happy to do custom searches if you are looking for a particular breed/mixed breed of cat or dog!
