My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Disponible via notre programme d`adoption humanitaire.

Mi – A Little Fighter Ready for a Fresh Start
Mi was entrusted to us after three days without eating, as his guardian was unable to treat his urinary infection. Thanks to the attentive care of our clinical team, Mi regained his appetite, his comfort, and his strength. Now, he’s ready to move forward and join a loving family.

Mi is a handsome grey-and-white cat with a gentle expression who deserves all the affection in the world. He truly seeks human presence: he enjoys being close to you, receiving soft pets, and then retreating to a cozy hiding spot for his nap. Having a quiet place to rest is essential for his well-being.

He may appear a little timid at first, his cute little growl says as much, but give him some time and kindness, and Mi relaxes, opens up, and becomes a happy companion in his new environment.
Mi is a sensitive cat who bonds at his own pace and appreciates calm, predictable surroundings. With patience and a peaceful home, he will reward you with a gentle, touching presence.

Mi is waiting for a caring family ready to offer him the love, stability, and respect he needs to continue blossoming. Available via

More about this shelter

Founded in Montreal in 1869, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (now known simply as the Montreal SPCA) was the first animal-welfare organization in Canada. It is not known under whose influence the society was formed, but its history acknowledges assistance from animal-welfare societies in France, England and the United States. In its early years, the SPCA concentrated primarily on improving the treatment of work horses, which were used all across the island of Montreal. The SPCA later began working on additional issues, such as humane dog control, cock-fighting and the killing of wild birds. The SPCA has come a long way since its beginnings: today, it is the largest animal-protection organization in Quebec, speaking on behalf of animals wherever there is ignorance, cruelty, exploitation or neglect.
