My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Onyx is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours!

Onyx is the cutest little pocket "blab" (aka a bite-sized black lab!). She comes to us from rural Tennessee. She landed at one of our shelter partners down there a couple of months ago, after being found as a stray. Onyx had the good fortune of being fostered by a family who had kids, cats, dogs, and chickens! Onyx is friendly with everyone and everything. We all love her so much!

Onyx is getting used to her new environment, and while she was initially hesitant and shy, she opened up very quickly with the help of treats and baby talk. This girl is very treat motivated, which means she will be easy to train! She is a perfect size, and has a wonderful and sweet temperament.

While she is not the most extroverted pup right off the bat when meeting people, she definitely has a party side! Onyx loves playgroup and surprised us all with how fast she can zoom around the play yard, ducking and weaving. She is so much fun! Onyx is demure with a hint of mischief: our favorite!

Onyx’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
