Meet Annie – A True Love Bug (Bonded with Pepper!).
Annie is a beautiful 10-year-old black-and-white sweetheart with a heart overflowing with love. She may be a senior by number, but in spirit she’s still very much a kitten. Playful, affectionate, and full of personality, Annie will absolutely steal your heart. She is known for being a total lover and cuddler. Annie adores her people and isn’t shy about showing it — she’ll headbutt you for attention, give you sweet little kisses, and happily drool when she’s extra content. She loves being held and will melt right into your arms, purring away. If you’re looking for a cat who truly wants to be close to you, Annie is your girl. When she’s not soaking up affection, she’s ready to play. Annie enjoys all types of toys and still has that kitten-like enthusiasm that makes her so fun to be around. Her joyful energy combined with her deeply loving nature makes her the best of both worlds. Annie does well with other cats and is good with respectful children. She can be afraid of dogs at first, so slow and patient introductions are recommended. And like many sensitive souls, the vacuum cleaner is her mortal enemy.
Most importantly, Annie is bonded with her dear friend Pepper, and they are looking for a home together. Their connection is special, and they bring comfort and companionship to one another. If your home is ready for double the love, Annie and Pepper are ready to make it warmer, sweeter, and filled with purrs.

Please take a moment to review our Adoption Policy prior to applying to adopt a pet.
CHS accepts multiple applications on each animal, we are not first come first serve. Our team of adoption counselors will help matchmake every individual pet and family to ensure the best fit for all.
Must be 21 to adopt with a valid driver's license or state ID card.
We ask all members of the household to meet the new pet, some pets require multiple visits to build necessary relationships.
To align with our mission of solving the homeless pet crisis, all household pets must be spayed and neutered, up to date on necessary vaccinations, and live in the same household as the adopter. If not currently established with a veterinarian, a vet deposit will be required.
Cats and dogs adopted from CHS are indoor only.
Every pet is an individual, and many have individual needs such as : post adoption training (included with adoption), multiple meet and greets to feel comfortable, medical needs, etc. Our adoption counselors will communicate these needs with all interested families.
CHS will not begin adoption process with an individual when:
A person is reasonably believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Landlord or residence does not allow pets, or the living situation does not accommodate consistency for the pet (e.g. student housing, four unrelated adults living together, ect.)
Applications may be denied for any reason, including but not limited to an individual failing to comply with conditions of past adoption.
Dog Adoptions: $200
Cat Adoptions: $100
