This handsome gentleman is Ryder! He was surrendered to the shelter on 2/11 because his owner is moving out of the country. Sweet Ryder tried to hide behind his owner as she was leaving him; he is very sad and confused in the shelter - it is no place for a senior. His former owner did note that Ryder is house trained and good with other dogs. The volunteers describe Ryder as super friendly and attentive. He is also very intelligent and knows sit, down, stay, and shake. If you have a soft spot for the seniors and are looking for a chill BFF, please come meet Ryder!
Ryder is 10 years old, and weighs 65 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, has been neutered, and did test negative for heartworms. He will be microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Ryder in kennel 858; his ID # is 16884.

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
