My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gavin: Your New Best Friend (and Professional Shadow)

If you’re looking for a cat who defines the word `devoted,` look no further. Gavin is a handsome 5-year-old gentleman who arrived at the shelter as a brave survivor of the streets. He’s traded his wandering days for a life of luxury, and he’s ready to spend the rest of his years showing you exactly how grateful he is.

Gavin didn`t have the easiest start. He came to us as a stray with infected bite wounds on his front legs, but thanks to our amazing vet team, he is all healed up and feeling like a brand-new cat. He also received a full dental cleaning, so his `pearly whites` are ready for all the treats you’re willing to share!

Gavin is FIV positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). While the name sounds a bit scary, it’s really not! It just means his immune system isn`t quite as strong as other cats`. With a high-quality diet and a stress-free life, FIV+ cats can live long, happy, and healthy lives.

To keep him (and others) safe, Gavin has two simple requests:
•Indoor Only: He’s done with the Great Outdoors and prefers the safety of your living room.
•The `Only Child` Life: He needs to be your one-and-only cats, or live with other FIV+ siblings.

Gavin is essentially a velcro cat. If you move to the kitchen, he’s there. If you’re headed to the couch, he’s already picked out a spot next to you. He is incredibly affectionate and lives to be by your side. He is sweet, resilient, and deeply loyal. Following you from room to room, perfecting the art of the head-butt, and being a world-class companion.

Gavin is neutered, has received core vaccinations (Feline Distemper, Rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.
