Meet Saphira! This lovable girl is basically a big, happy puppy who’s always ready for fun. She adores attention and will happily soak up every pet, scratch, and kind word you give her. When she’s not leaning in for affection, Saphira can usually be found zooming around the yard, exploring, and finding new “important” things to investigate.
Saphira gets along well with other dogs and would love a playful canine friend to romp around with, though she’d also be just as happy being the center of your world. Her joyful energy and playful curiosity make every day a little brighter, and she’s always ready to turn ordinary moments into fun adventures.
If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate companion who still has that big-puppy enthusiasm for life, Saphira is ready to run right into your heart!

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!
The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.
Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.
We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.
Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Animal Friends Alliance is a non-profit, adoption guarantee cat and dog shelter and low-cost spay/neuter clinic.
Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.
Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
