Katy is not only playful but incredibly smart and obedient. She`s mastered her leash manners and is perfectly house trained. She is mature and well behaved in a home. She also knows the sit, stay, here, and talks commands. In Spanish! With her friendly and cuddly nature, Katy loves to snuggle up after a long day of fun. She`s also protective and always alert, making her a great companion for any home. She is great with other dogs, but a bit cautious, and is tolerant of children. She behaves well at the dog park and when seeing dogs during walks. She was given up because her family moved and couldn`t take her with them. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
