Jagger — lovingly known as “Jag” — has been waiting far too long for his forever home. 💔 For a year and a half, this sweet boy has had zero interest, despite everything he has to offer.
Jag entered the Magic City K9 prison training program as a six-month-old puppy. There, he lived inside the facility with his assigned inmate trainer, Ravi, receiving daily structure, love, and professional training with weekly lessons from expert trainers. Everyone thought his adorable airplane ears and young age would have him adopted in no time. But one training cycle passed… then two… then three… and still, no one came for Jag.
Now, Ravi has moved on to work release, and Jag has lost the only person he’s ever truly bonded with. He’s currently safe in boarding and daycare, but he misses having his person. Jag doesn’t just want a home — he wants a deep connection again.
Jag is a shy, sensitive boy who bonds closely with one person and becomes completely devoted. Once you’re his, you’re his whole world. He’s wonderful on leash, up for any adventure, and happily ignores the hustle and bustle around him as long as he’s with his person. He’s highly dog-social and loves playtime with other pups.
Jag’s ideal home would be:
• A single person who appreciates a quieter dog
• A fenced yard or quiet apartment complex (no high-rises)
• Access to dog playtime
• No small children (too chaotic)
• No cats (unknown)
At 2 years old and 58 lbs, neutered and trained, Jag is ready. He just needs someone willing to see the loyal, loving heart behind those ears. It’s time for Jag to finally get the happy ending he’s been waiting for. 🐾❤️
**Will be ready to meet with starting Tuesday 2/17 after 3pm**

More about this shelter
At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
