WHOSE GRANDPA IS THIS? We are looking for a family to adopt this...dog? Meet Michaelangelo. "Allegedly" a 10-year-old miniature poodle mix. But we have questions. • Why does he have human teeth? • Why does he make direct eye contact like he knows your secrets? • Is there a retired woodshop teacher trapped in there? He was surrendered due to his owner's health and is currently adjusting to shelter life like any refined senior would... cautiously, observantly, mildly judging us all. He does take a little time to warm up to new people. You don't just earn the trust of a man who has seen things. But once you're in? You're in. He loves car rides (front seat preferred, obviously). Doesn't mind other gentle, dainty dogs ( no hooligans.) Enjoys peace, quiet, and probably telling you how music "used to be better."
Come adopt this tiny woodland grandfather before he starts asking for the TV remote.

HHHS has been a permanent part of the Topeka community since its founding May 4, 1938. The organization is incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) business for the purpose of sheltering companion animals in need of care, advocating for anti-cruelty protection of animals and promoting humane education and animal welfare issues. HHHS fosters the adoption of companion animals into responsible homes and reunites lost animals with their owners; promotes sterilization of animals to help reduce overpopulation; provides a facility accessible to the general public; serves the community with educational programs addressing animal welfare issues; and maintains a fiscally responsible organization.
