My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet George and Chamberlain, a bonded “brother” duo raised in Salinas and ready to bring their matching tabby charm to a forever home in the Bay Area. They are not brothers by biology, but by everything that actually matters, raised side by side, best friends from the start, and fully committed to the kind of partnership that says, “Where you go, I go.” Think of them as chosen family with whiskers, two tiny locals from the Salad Bowl of the World who have upgraded their life plan from farm country views to city window watching.

George is the friendly “first to say hi” type. Chamberlain is his built in hype man, always close by, always ready to turn a quiet moment into a cuddle break or a play session. Together they are twice the whiskers, twice the purrs, and honestly just the right amount of synchronized mischief.

One more thing to know about sweet Chamberlain. He is FIV+, which simply means he has a feline specific virus that affects the immune system. Many FIV+ cats live normal, happy lives with the same cozy routines as any other cat.

If you have been hoping for a ready made duo that will keep each other company and keep you entertained, come meet George and Chamberlain and let these Salinas boys charm their way into your home.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
