My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walter is a shy little guy, about 12 pounds and 4 months old as of the end of January.  He definitely needs another dog in the home to help him build confidence.  Walter and his brother Wiley were part of an unwanted litter and by the time we were alerted to them, 4 of the 6 puppies had been given away.  The boys are adjusting nicely in their foster homes.  They're incredibly sweet, playful, get along with other dogs, and have been gentle and loving with every human they've met.

They've had their rabies vaccine, will be getting their last DAPP vaccine in the series of 3 on February 16th and are microchipped.  They'll be scheduled for neuter under the rescue when age appropriate.

A home with a fenced yard is preferred.  .

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the application. All required fields must be completed in order for your application to be considered. It's important that we place the right dog with the right family. Adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment...please ensure you have considered this commitment before submitting an application. Once all reference checks are completed, you will be notified if your application has been approved. Upon approval of your application, a "meet and greet" is scheduled. All of our rescues are fostered in loving, caring homes until we find the right permanent home for them. Our foster volunteers will contact you to make arrangements to meet your potential new family member. A home visit is required before we will place any of our rescues in a forever home. Upon completion of a successful home visit, an adoption contract is completed. Adoption fees typically range from $175 to $375..

More about this rescue

We are a rescue organization fueled by our love of animals and the wonderful volunteers who support us and give freely of their time and dedication to the rescue efforts.

3 Hearts 4 Paws Animal Rescue was founded with love and passion and is dedicated not only to the lives of those we save, but to the so many lives that are lost. We are a non profit organization comprised of volunteers who give selflessly and open their hearts and their homes, as a stepping stone to the permanent home every rescue animal dreams of. We are not a shelter, each of our rescues are cared for in the warmth of their foster homes, as we help them on their journey waiting for the place they can call their own.

We are primarily a canine rescue, pulling dogs from high kill shelters across the U.S. Our goal is to save as many lives as we possibly can and to bring an awareness to those around us of the pain and suffering that occcurs in puppy mills and the fate that awaits those thrown away to a shelter. PLEASE...Adopt...don't Shop!
