Meet Venancio! 🐾💙
2.5 years old | 15 pounds | Shih Tzu/Schnauzer mix

Venancio is an easygoing, lovable little guy with a heart as soft as his fluffy coat. Friendly with everyone he meets, he gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and would especially love a home with a playful canine buddy to keep him company.

This sweet boy is happiest when he’s curled up next to his person on the couch, soaking in snuggles and affection — but don’t let that fool you! He’s always ready to hop up for a walk, a car ride, or whatever adventure the day brings. His calm, adaptable nature makes him a wonderful companion for many different lifestyles.

Venancio is also good with cats and has lovely manners. He’s still working on house training, but he’s making progress and doesn’t mind wearing a belly band while he learns.

If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate sidekick who will be your cuddle buddy, walking partner, and loyal friend all in one, Venancio is ready to meet you.

Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, health certificate and transportation.

Dogs over 6 months: $300

We're open to the public Saturdays from 10am - 2pm. Appointments are available during the week.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
