Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mariana is a beautiful dark gray girl with the softest, sleek coat and gentle eyes to match. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people or entering a new space, but give her a little time and she blossoms quickly. Once she feels safe, she absolutely loves being petted and will happily soak up your attention.
She just needs a patient home that understands she may take a little time to settle in before showing her affectionate side.
If you’re able to adopt two cats, Mariana came to our home with Meredith and they make a wonderful pair. They’re comfortable together and it’s been special watching them settle in side by side.
If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion with a soft gray coat and an even softer heart, Mariana might be your girl. 🐾
All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
