Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Stevi — A Gentle, Independent Beauty Ready for Her Forever Home
Stevi is a calm, thoughtful tortoiseshell mama who was found in the Fairfield/Hamilton, Ohio area with her three kittens (Mac, Gypsy, and Nickole). Her babies have grown, and now it’s Stevi’s turn to find a home where she can finally relax and be loved.
Stevi has a peaceful, quiet presence. She enjoys being near her people, especially men — she formed a special bond with her foster dad and loved lying beside him on the sofa. She isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she absolutely appreciates gentle companionship and a calm environment where she can choose when to come close.
A Queen Who Prefers Her Own Space
Stevi is very clear about one thing: she wants to be the only cat in her home. She becomes stressed and growls around other cats, and after months of trying, it’s clear she’s happiest without feline roommates. Dogs, however, don’t seem to bother her at all. She simply coexists and goes about her day. Because of her gentle but independent nature, Stevi would do best in a home with adults or older children who understand boundaries. Small children may be too overwhelming for her.
Personality Highlights
• Calm, quiet, and observant
• Bonds deeply once she trusts you
• Especially drawn to men
• Loves relaxing beside her person
• Not a fan of being held
• Very independent but appreciates gentle affection
• Eats Purina One adult dry food
• Perfect with the litter box from day one
Stevi doesn’t demand attention — she simply wants a peaceful home where she can feel safe, respected, and loved on her own terms.
Ideal Home
Stevi is looking for:
• A quiet, low‑stress household
• A home with no other cats
• Adults or older children
• Someone who appreciates an independent, calm companion
• A patient adopter who understands that trust is earned gently
Stevi is ready for her forever home with that special someone who sees her for the sweet, steady soul she is.
If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.
All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.
