My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dorito: Learning to "Dog," One Treat at a Time! 🐾

If you love a comeback story, you’ll love Dorito. This skinny but incredibly loving guy came to us with very little life experience. It seems he never knew the comfort of a soft bed, the fun of a special treat, or the security of a consistent routine.

Now that he’s in our care, his personality is starting to bloom! He’s discovering that humans are kind and that toys are for playing. Dorito is still a bit unsure about other canine companions, so he’s requesting a dog-free home (or another dog that is suuuuuper lowkey and won't push him too fast) where he can focus all his energy on his training and putting on some healthy weight. He’s a work in progress, but he promises to pay you back in a lifetime of loyalty and love.
