My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster knows me better than anyone! Here's what they had to say about me during my time with them: Samba is a sweet, gentle companion who does well with teens and adults and has peacefully lived with another cat and a large dog. He can be a bit skittish in new or chaotic situations, but he communicates clearly (no hissing or aggression) and settles in nicely once things are calm.

Samba enjoys having high perches where he can watch the world go by and appreciates a safe, accessible hiding spot while he adjusts. With a little patience, he comes out to connect and relax. He has not shown any concerns with litter box use. He uses scratch pads well and loves his cardboard scratchers (he really puts them to work!).

At night, Samba is a great bed buddy and tends to sleep quietly, especially when pets are settled into a routine. He eats both wet and dry food without issue and is currently enjoying grain-free pâté.

Samba would be a wonderful addition to a calm, patient home that gives him time to feel secure.

Here's what you need to know about me:

I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.

If there are kids in my new home, I would like to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.
