Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maddox, affectionately known as Maddy, an 11-year-old male short-haired Dachshund with short little legs and a big heart. Maddy came into our care through no fault of his own after his previous owner experienced a medical emergency and was no longer able to care for him.
Maddy’s favorite thing in the world is being close to his person. He loves nothing more than cuddling beside you on the couch or in bed, content simply to share your company. He also enjoys playing with his plushy toys and looks forward to mealtime with great enthusiasm. He walks very nicely on a leash and enjoys his daily walks, although he has not been a big fan of all this snow and ice on his little paws!
He is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys meeting new people, greeting everyone with cheeriness and friendliness. However, Maddy would do best in a cat-free home, as cats are not a good match for him. Maddy would be a wonderful companion for most homes.
At 11 years young, easy-going Maddy is hoping to find a forever home where he can enjoy comfort, companionship, and stability. He is ready to share his loyal heart with a family or person who will cherish him for the rest of his years.
