My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Boba! 🖤🐾

Boba is a 6-year-old female Rottweiler weighing about 70 pounds, and she is as sweet as they come. This gentle girl is very loving, has a calm, kind demeanor, and does wonderfully with other dogs.

Boba is heartworm positive, but with proper treatment and care, she can go on to live a happy, healthy life. She’s looking for a compassionate home that’s ready to support her through treatment while giving her the love and comfort she deserves.

🖤🐾 Boba is ready for her forever home—a caring family who will appreciate her sweet nature, gentle heart, and loyal companionship. Open your heart to Boba, and she’ll reward you with endless love. ✨

Additional adoption info

You can view our available animals online or by visiting the shelter during regular business hours. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff are here to guide you through the adoption process, which includes completing an application and having a conversation to ensure you’re fully informed and prepared to welcome a new pet into your home.

If you find an animal on our website that you’re interested in, we kindly ask that you visit the shelter to meet them in person before submitting your application. This helps ensure the best possible match for both you and the animal.

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
