🥝💚 Say hello to Mr. Kiwi — and yes, he’s just as sweet as his name. 💚🥝
This handsome three-year-old recently joined us at Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions after being found late last year. His finders truly wanted to keep him… but their resident cats had other plans and made it very clear he was not welcome. Wanting the best for him, they reached out to us for help.
Since arriving, we’ve noticed Mr. Kiwi appears to have limited vision and likely sees mostly shadows. The good news? There is no pain present. He’s learning his surroundings and relies on sound and staying close to his people.
Personality-wise: mostly very friendly, affectionate, and people-oriented — but he startles easily. He circles around legs (yes, potential tripping hazard!) and bonds closely once he feels safe. Calm energy and predictable routines help him relax.
Given his vision limits, he may do best as an only cat or with very slow, careful introductions. A home without small children — and with experienced cat guardians — would be ideal.
Mr. Kiwi may see the world in shadows… but he’s ready for a bright future. ✨

If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community.
