My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Katara! 🐾💛

Katara is a beautiful girl with a truly courageous story. She was rescued just before the freeze, and shortly after, we discovered she was sick with parvo. Thanks to quick action and the life-saving antibody treatment at Callaghan Vet, she pulled through like the little warrior she is! 💪🐶

Now fully healthy, strong, and full of life, Katara is ready to find the loving forever home she deserves.

At just 4.5 months old and 17 pounds, this gorgeous terrier mix is expected to grow to around 30 pounds full grown — the perfect size for both snuggles and adventures. 🥰

Katara is playful, friendly, and absolutely adores other dogs. She would make a wonderful companion for an active family or anyone looking for a fun, loving pup to share life with.

If you’re searching for a resilient, joyful sweetheart who’s already proven how strong her spirit is, Katara might be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
