My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS CALM AND LOVELY LADY WILL ENJOY A HOME THAT`S FAIRLY QUIET, ALTHOUGH COULD BE A LITTLE ACTIVE WITH KIDS AND FAMILY LIFE. COMES FROM A HOME WITH SEVERAL RELATED CATS, SO COMFORTABLE BEING AROUND OTHER CATS AND ENJOYS HAVING CAT COMPANY. WARMS QUICKLY TO NEW PEOPLE.
I`ve just arrived here and I`m still exploring and getting comfortable. I`m very sweet and friendly, but I may be a little more shy than usual right now. If I am, you only need to find me and call me out, or come to me and reach out gently. With my laid back attitude, I`m very happy to be pet and get to know you! In just a few seconds you`ve made a friend that`s going to hang around with you because I love keeping you company, and always welcome more attention! I`m even easy to pick up and cuddle right away! I`ve been going from place to place trying to find my favorite spot to settle in. There`s so many comfy places that I like, I haven`t decided yet. I like the big soft hut that`s cozy and warm and feels safe, but I`m still too busy exploring to stay anywhere long. I`m also checking out all the things there are to do! I like finding toys in the tunnel. I can hide in a quiet spot under a bed or in the cabinet bed if I want. It`s nice to have so many places to be a little concealed as I get to know my surroundings. I`m saving climbing up to explore the next level for another day. If you want to pick me up and put me on the cabinet to pet me up close, that`s just fine, and I may even give you a nose boop! I already have a favorite toy though! Once I found the motion activated toy that moves under a sheet with a butterfly flying on top, I had to stop everything and try to catch them for a while! You can also get my attention with a wand toy. Their toys are from Amazon! I will have fun exploring in my new house too, so make sure you have soft squishy blankets for me there, and put them on the furniture so I can have safe quiet naps there, and sit with you too! After playtime and relaxing with some awesome cuddles with you, some yummy treats are perfect to finish off my wonderful day!

More about this shelter

The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.

Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.

Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
