My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes, with proper introductions
Good with cats: Unknown
Good with kids: Older kids only (13+)
Crate trained: Yes
House trained: Yes

Have you met Daisy? Don’t let her tiny stature fool you. This pint-sized powerhouse is an active, adventure-loving pup who’s always ready to tag along for fun. Daisy’s idea of a perfect day includes a car ride to the beach, splashing and romping through the water, playing a rousing game of fetch, and finishing it all off with a well-earned pupsicle. Whether her people work from home, head into the office, or work hybrid, Daisy is impressively adaptable and just happy to be part of the routine.

Daisy is both house trained and crate trained, and she does great even on full office days as long as she gets her extra outdoor time for walks or backyard play. In the evenings, she transforms into a master nest builder. Oversized fuzzy blankets are her specialty, and once she’s cocooned, you may catch her gently suckling and kneading as she drifts off to sleep.

Daisy has lived with other dogs and would do best with a calm, gentle canine companion, especially with slow and thoughtful introductions. While she hasn’t lived with cats, she shows little to no interest in them on neighborhood walks. Daisy would thrive in an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy kids (13+).

Daisy is bursting with charm and character. From her signature chihuahua squint side-eye, to the way she locks onto her ball with laser focus, to her precious grin, she brightens her people’s lives daily. Daisy is making steady progress with leash walking especially given a consistent routine. Daisy is looking for a family that can continue helping her build confidence and feel secure in her world.

Full of spunk, sweetness, and affection, Daisy is ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of heart into her future family’s life. Are you ready to welcome this spirited little sidekick home?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
