My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo is a one‑year‑old terrier mix with a warm, wiggly personality and a gentle, affectionate heart. He’s eager for attention and quick to lean in for love once he feels secure. With a naturally curious nature and a moderate energy level, Leo enjoys walks, playtime, and exploring, and he’s crate trained and food motivated - two things that make bonding and training easier.
He can be a bit nervous with new experiences, like doorways or unfamiliar environments, but he responds beautifully to treats, verbal encouragement, and calm guidance.
Like his sister Nola, Leo is best suited for a home with older kids (7+) who can help maintain a steady routine while respecting moments when he needs reassurance.
Leo will thrive with patient, understanding adopters. Leo and Nola previously lived together and complement each other well — making them a lovely pair for families open to adopting two dogs. If you’re looking for a tender, friendly companion with plenty of love to give — and perhaps the perfect match for Nola, too — Leo could be the ideal addition to your home.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue requires each potential adopter to fill out an application. We also ask our adopters to sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee at the time of adoption. These requirements help us to ensure a positive outcome for everyone involved, including our pets, as well as to continue to help other needy pets. We will also do periodic follow-ups and offer help with any post-adoption issues that might arise.
