My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam is a sweet, beautiful little boy with a heart just as lovely as his soft kitten face. This gentle soul has a calm, affectionate nature and absolutely melts for cuddles, happily leaning into every pet and purring like a tiny motor. He’s the kind of kitten who follows you around just to be close, always ready to curl up in your lap or nestle by your side for a cozy nap.
With his bright eyes and tender spirit, Sam brings a quiet kind of joy wherever he goes. He’s playful, loving, and full of soft, sweet moments that make you fall in love a little more each day. Sam is simply the perfect little companion, waiting to grow up in a home filled with love.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
