My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Junie is the definition of sweetness wrapped in soft fur. This gentle girl has the kindest eyes and a tender, loving heart that shines through in everything she does. She’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her people, soaking up pets and sharing quiet, cozy moments.
Junie shares a special bond with her best friend Courtney, and the two are true soulmates who bring each other comfort and confidence. Whether they’re cuddled up for a nap or exploring side-by-side, they’re always happiest together.
This lovely pair will fill your home with double the love, double the purrs, and endless sweetness. Junie can’t wait to find a family where she and Courtney can stay together and be cherished forever.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
