Meet Autumn, a beautiful 47-pound tan girl with a gentle soul and a mellow nature! Autumn has been friendly but a bit shy in the shelter as she adjusts to all the recent changes in her life. She’s the kind of dog who may greet you with a quiet sniff and then choose to relax nearby rather than be the center of attention. Independent and low-energy, Autumn would be a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a calm, “couch potato” presence. Autumn has shown mild interest in toys, especially squeaky ones! However, she’s generally more about quiet companionship than constant play. She enjoys walks, car rides, chewing on bones, and peaceful downtime at home. In her previous home, she did well being left alone for a typical workday and was described as gentle, snuggly, and respectful in the house. With other dogs, Autumn may need a thoughtful introduction and time to warm up. In shelter playgroups, she has preferred low-energy interactions over active playtime. Any resident dog should meet her prior to adoption, and slow, structured introductions will be important for success. With patience, routine, and a calm environment, sweet Autumn has every opportunity to thrive!
