My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💌 A Valentine from Alfie 💌
Dear Future Forever Family,
I can’t bear to be without you. 🐻😉
I know we haven’t met yet, but I already saved you a spot right next to me...preferably on the couch, maybe with a soft blanket, and definitely with plenty of scritches. I’m very polite about asking for them, of course. A gentleman always is. 🎩
My foster mama says I’m “just perfect,” but I think I’m just a sweet boy who really loves being close to his people. I’m super snuggly, gentle, and I promise to always use my best manners.
Here are a few things you should know about your future Valentine:
☑️ I get along wonderfully with other dogs
☑️ I’m housebroken (because gentlemen keep things tidy)
☑️ I politely request scritches, and I'll give you the sweetest looks in return
☑️ I sleep through the night in my little dog bed without a peep
All I’m missing is you. 🫵
Will you be my forever Valentine? I promise to love you with my whole heart — no teddy bear required.
Love,
Alfie 🐾

ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/

***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ***

Our adoption fee is $175.

We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason.

Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

More about this rescue

I Am Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit animal rescue organization based in North Texas.
Our primary purpose is to assist homeless and unwanted dogs of all breeds and sizes by providing necessary health care and rehabilitation for them prior to adoption by a loving and responsible forever family. In our efforts, we work with the “rescue community” at large to educate people about the benefit of spay/neuter and the responsibilities and costs of pet ownership to decrease the number of homeless animals. Our volunteers are the life-blood of our mission!
