Gentleman Alley Cat | Heart of Gold

Found as an injured stray on Valentine’s Day, Thomas O’Malley arrived with a tough past and a healing heart. After wound care and lots of TLC, this resilient boy is now healthy and ready for a home of his own.

O’Malley is a sweet talker who will call out for attention and happily soak up head scritches. He will flinch at times, likely a reflex from previous injury, but head scritches are his favorite! There can be some sass if he disapproves of your approach or petting; a trusted human is rewarded with loud purrs and dramatic flop-over-for-love moments.

Like many former street cats, he can be unsure in new spaces and prefers a calm environment where he can settle in at his own pace. He may hiss when startled or overwhelmed but is truly a gentle soul who just needs reassurance. This boy is a loyal companion in the making!

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
