Meet Kara – Your Perfect Snuggle Companion!
Kara is a sweet, one year old, cuddly retriever mix who lives for affection. At 30 pounds, she’s the perfect size to fit right into your heart — and your lap! Kara has the softest coat and you will love to pet her! She’s a friendly girl who loves everyone she meets and has been wonderful with children in public. This good girl is house and crate trained!
Kara needs slow introductions to new dogs. She is getting used to the dogs in her foster home and is making good progress with them everyday! If there are dogs in her new home, her new parents will need to exercise time and patience with introducing them. There is also a cat in her foster home and she occasionally give it a chase but it is all in good fun!
Her favorite things? Walks, fluffy dog toys, fetching a toy and tasty bones — but above all, snuggles are her absolute favorite!
If you’re looking for the ultimate cuddle buddy and loyal companion, Kara is your girl!
If you are interested in adopting Kara, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
