Meet Lukey - A Sweet and Calm Shih Tzu Looking for His Forever Home!
Lukey is a 1-year-old male Shih Tzu who was recently released from a breeding facility who is stopping breeding. He is a calm, gentle soul who loves being near his person and is happiest when cuddled up close.
As a breeder release dog, Lukey is still learning about the world, and he’s not yet potty trained. He wears a belly band for now since he’s a bit afraid to go outside and doesn’t quite understand the purpose of potty breaks, even though he sees other dogs going. He would thrive in a home with another dog who can help show him the ropes and be his friend and guide. A securely fenced yard is a must for Lukey, as he’ll need a safe space to start building his confidence.
He is looking for a calm, loving home that can provide the structure and patience he needs to grow and learn. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this precious boy, he will surely repay you with love, loyalty, and cuddles!

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $150.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $350.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
