This beautiful girl has traveled a long way for a second chance. Wepa came all the way from Puerto Rico, where she was facing a very uncertain future. Thanks to an incredible rescue partnership, she is now safe, loved, and ready to find her forever home. 💛

At about 20 weeks old and weighing around 23 pounds, Wepa is the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet snuggle potential. Her breed? We’re calling it a blend of adorable and irresistible — because honestly, that face says it all.

Despite everything she’s been through, Wepa’s spirit is bright and joyful. Now that she’s safe, her personality is truly shining. ✨

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Go to our website at www.humanesocietyofcalvertcounty.org and fill out an application. Once we do our reviews, we will call you for a meet.

2.
Meet the Pet

We will do a background check, home check using Google Earth and ensure that the application would be a good fit for our dog.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If everything checks out and you don't have other dogs requiring a meet & greet be scheduled, you will be able to adopt the dog that day.

Additional adoption info

If a potential adopter has other animals in the household, we will schedule a meet & greet to ensure that all get along.
