Meet Manny! He just arrived in Colorado on 2/9 and is living in a foster home in Aurora with three other dogs.
What we know so far:
-Manny is a sweet chihuahua that is great with other dogs
-He is around age 1 and a tiny little nugget at 8 lbs
-He is potty trained and trustworthy in the house
-Sleeps quietly in his crate at night
-Doing well with learning to walk on leash
-His favorite place to be is cuddled up under a blanket on the couch next to some dog friends
-So far he does not love being left home alone but we are working through that - he likely would not do well in a home where he is alone all day
He is Heartworm positive but since he is so young shouldn't have any medical issues long term and our rescue will pay for the full treatment! This is a non-contagious disease that we see a lot in Texas dogs. He will need to be on activity restrictions for about 2-3 months while undergoing treatment but after that he should be in the clear.
All POSO Dogs come with:
- Spayed/Neutered
- Basic Shots (age appropriate)
- Fecal and tick disease testing
- other medical concerns addressed before adoption
- 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer
- Training received in foster home
- Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar
- PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations
