Pretty Girl is seeking her furever home! This gorgeous lady is non-destructive, fully housebroken, and learning her basic commands. She is a total sweetheart with everyone, outdoor cats included (they've even rubbed noses and legs with zero drama). She gets along wonderfully with the resident dogs—she's a happy mimic who follows their lead, shares meals without any resource guarding, and enjoys their company both inside and outdoors. While she's not particularly playful with her canine housemates (her flirting attempts have been politely rebuffed), she absolutely ADORES people and greets every human visitor with enthusiastic tail wags and her signature toothy smile, demanding cuddles from anyone within reach because she'd honestly rather snuggle on the couch with her humans than do just about anything else! Pretty Girl would likely make an excellent nanny for kids given her gentle, sweet temperament. This special girl runs on cuddles, squishy beds, and lamb or liver treats. With a moderate activity level, she enjoys walking the perimeter of her yard with the occasional jog, but she's equally thrilled to chill inside or catch some z's in a sunny spot. Have you heard of people snoring in their sleep, and waking themselves up?! - Well, Pretty Girl will sometimes bark in her slumber, snapping herself out of dream-mode, and have her looking around like, “Who’s making all that racket?” Her ideal forever home would offer a wonderful indoor/outdoor setup with a 4-foot securely fenced yard where she can patrol by day and cuddle by night, preferably with a family that loves being home - she's a true homebody at heart! Pretty Girl guarantees she'll greet you with pure joy every single time you walk by!

NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog.
Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
