My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Truffle is a handsome young brown tabby who is essentially an "Energizer Bunny" in kitten form!

If you’re looking for a playmate, Truffle is your guy. He is a world-class athlete who can catch some serious air leaping after a wand toy. Once he’s "captured" his prize, he’ll often drag the entire wand back to his secret lair (under the couch). When he isn't playing with his humans, he’s perfectly happy entertaining himself for hours with plush mice (the orange ones are his favorite). He’s also a huge fan of boxes, which he hides in to sneak up on his toys and take a nap after a big play session.

But don’t let his antics fool you: Truffle’s sweet, squeaky meow gives away what a total softie he really is. He loves to curl up next to his fosters and rest his head in their laps. He loves to be scratched behind the ears and he has a purr like an engine. He is a true social butterfly who will greet you at the door when you come home and insist on being right in the middle of whatever you’re doing (he loves a keyboard).

Because he has so much love and energy to give, Truffle would do best in a home with another kitten his age or a playful adult cat to keep him company.

All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, FVRCP vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped.

All of our kittens must go to homes where they will remain inside 24/7.

Young kittens must go home in pairs, or to a home with another cat. Infrequently we will make exceptions.

We'd love to schedule a meet & greet with you and the kittens! If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website and fill out an application: https://toniskittyrescue.org/adoption-application

More about this rescue

Toni, our founder, started fostering underage kittens that came into the local municipal shelter in 2000. By 2003 she had a network of foster parents and was saving many little lives so she became a non-profit. As of 2023 we are no longer with the shelter and are on our own. We have only one part-time employee and a dedicated group of fosters. All our kittens are vaccinated and spayed/neutered and receive all necessary medical care while in our care. We taken in strays from our partner trappers and from high-kill and over-crowded shelters, specializing in neo-nates and kittens under 6 weeks.
