My name is Porthos!

History: Porthos needed a second chance at a good life and arrived to rescue with the help of Lightshine Rescue whose efforts are focused on a rural reservation in South Dakota where resources are low.

Unfortunately, upon getting to rescue, him and his littermate broke with parvovirus. They were so brave and fought through the virus and are on the mend, doing great!

A Note from the Foster: Hello my name is Porthos and I am a German Shephard Mix. My little ears have decided to perk up and I love to use them to make silly head responses. I am doing great at potty and crate training. I love to wake up and get out for potty and keep the crate clean. I love to give puppy kisses and cuddle when I can. I came in with a bossy attitude and now I am a very chill little guy and just want to play and explore. I recently learned to climb up on some kennels for exploration and it is so much fun to see the world around me. My fosters nicknamed me Green Bean as my personality fit better with this name. Did I mention that I get along great with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages? Well I do and we have so much fun playing and wrestling. If you need a well socialized and loving puppy, I know I would be a great fit for you.
