My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Courtesy Post**Junior is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with placement and networking. All inquiries should be directed to Junior’s foster at ivysolis10@gmail.com **
Meet Junior - a little dog with a big heart, looking for his forever home. At just 11 months old (as of 2/2026), Junior is already facing an uncertain future through no fault of his own. His beloved senior owner is moving into assisted living and heartbreakingly, can’t bring him with her. She loves him deeply and truly believed they’d have many years together. Junior started life exactly the way every puppy should: safe, loved, and cherished in a home. That foundation shows in everything he does. He’s a sweet boy; only 15 pounds, and would be a wonderful addition to a home. He’s lived peacefully with his best feline friend so far. He does well with other friendly dogs. He’s already housebroken, neutered, and up to date on vaccines—he truly checks all the boxes. Junior needs a securely fenced in back yard where he can run and play, while still being an inside doggie. Junior is a puppy and will require an owner who is active and can take him for walks, play out back, throw the ball because he’s got lots of energy! He will need a patient owner to continue to teach him how to be a good boy as he grows up. Jack Russell Terrier experience is ideal. Junior could be a 15+ year commitment. Junior loves car rides, playing in the water, and cuddling with his person. He is also crate trained. He is still working on potty training, but it learning fast. Junior is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly to new people. Location: Approximately 40 miles north of Dallas, Texas. Junior isn’t losing his home because he wasn’t loved—he’s losing it because life changed. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s already beginning to learn how to be a good dog, Junior is ready to give his whole heart to you. Please share or reach out—let’s make sure Junior’s next chapter is as loving as his first.
