You know the friend who initially seems pretty quiet and reserved, and then reveals themselves to be a total goof once you get to know them better? That's Poppy. This girl is funny and fun; like the flower she's named for, she's a bright pop of colour and vibrancy!
Poppy is a big time people person. She gets along well with other dogs, but it's really all about her human family members. She likes to be close to people, and the room you're in is always the best room in the house. She does well with both men and women, and would likely do well with children 8+.
Poppy's big requirement in addition to love and safety is FUN. This girl lives to play. She loves to chase balls and swat at them with her paws, enjoys digging in the snow, thinks chew toys are the best invention ever, and is delighted by all types of play with both dogs (wrestlemania!) and humans (tug and fetch!) She'd be really happy in a fairly active household where she can get her yayas out and live her best, playful life.
Poppy is house-trained, walks well on leash, and is a quiet and low-maintenance presence in the house. While she loves to live it up as previously stated, she also understands down time. Her foster describes her as the perfect mix of calm and playful. If you give her enough play time, she's perfectly content to chill out and relax close to you.

We have an application process. All applications are subject to reference checks, home checks. All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract and must adhere to requirements stated in this contract, and follow ups are done post adoption. Please contact us about adoption fees. Our rescue is solely run by volunteers, we strive to return calls and inquiries within a 24 hour period.
