My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisey here! I'm very new to SCHS and look forward to meeting my new fur-ever family! My foster mom says I am the sweetest little girl and LOVE to snuggle. I have a spicy little personality that has really come out since I have been with them. I love to play with all the pups and think I'm one of the big dogs. "She has done amazing with all the dogs in my home and does great with the cats as well! She's a little skittish with new people but once she warms up she will be your best friend! Due to her skittish nature I would say a home with no young children would be best for her. She has been doing great with house training and kennel training. We are currently working on leash manners but shes getting the hang of it."
She is house trained and up to date on all age-appropriate shots. She will be fixed soon. Contact 507-451-4512 or steelecountyhumanesociety@gmail.com to set up a meet-n-greet. My adoption fee is $350.

Additional adoption info

Thank you so much for your interest in adoption! Please fill out our Pre-Adoption Form. Simply fill out the form and then email it to us.
This is what we will use to guide you through the adoption process. It is not an application. We keep all forms on file for two months. When we take in pets, we make sure they have the necessary shots, food, and wellness checks. Our adoption fees are necessary to cover the initial costs.

Go meet their pets

Currently, the SCHS does not have a shelter. We expect completion of our new building in 2026. Until then, our animals live in foster homes where they are loved, socialized, and provided all veterinary services, including neutering and spaying until they are adopted and moved to their forever homes.
