Meet this sweet red long-haired dachshund, born in July 2017. He's neutered, well potty trained and ready for his forever home. He quickly becomes a loving and affectionate companion and he's wonderful with kids and small children. He does well living with other pets but is just as happy being the only dog in the house. This gentle boy loves to cuddled whether it's on your lap or snuggled up in bed. One of his cutest habits is that if you stop petting him, he'll gently request more attention--he truly loves being close to his people. Although he's a relaxed older dog, he still gets the occasional zoomies and doesn't act like he's slowing down. He likes the occasional walks and is great on a leash. When it's food time, he'll go right into his crate on his own. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet and easygoing dog to join your family, he could be the perfect fit!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.
