My beloved person passed away, and although their son tried to take me in, his allergies were just too much. So here I am, looking for a new forever home where I can bring comfort, calm, and lots of love. I’m a gentle, affectionate cat who lives for cozy moments. If you sit down, I’ll be in your lap before you even settle. I adore being petted — truly, you can pet me all day. When I’ve had enough, I simply wander off to lie down for a little break. No drama, no fuss. I’m also perfectly happy being picked up and carried around. I just enjoy being close. I’ve always lived indoors, and I’m a calm soul who prefers lounging to playing. I haven`t lived with other pets, and I haven’t been around children, so I’m not sure what I think of them yet. But with adults, I’m a total sweetheart — friendly, affectionate, and happiest when I’m curled up with someone who loves me back. If you’re looking for a loyal lap cat who will fill your home with warmth and quiet companionship, maybe we can be each other’s new beginning. I am a special paws adoption, which means I do have medical needs that need tending to. I have early-stage kidney disease, but because of this, my adoption fee is totally up to you ($30 admin fee still applies)!

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
