Freckles is a beautiful tortoiseshell girl with a one-of-a-kind coat sprinkled in warm shades of black, orange, and gold-just like her mane suggests, But her true beauty shines from within. Freckles came from a severe animal hoarding situation, where she did not receive the individual care and attention every cat deserves. Despite her difficult start in life, she has blossomed into one of the most loving and affectionate cats you'll ever meet. Her resilience is nothing short of inspiring.
This sweet girl absolutely adores people. She leans into pets, purrs with her whole body, and will happily curl up beside you for snuggles. After everything she has been through, all she wants is a safe, quiet home where she can finally relax and soak up the love she's always deserved. If your looking for a loving companion with a heart as special as her markings, Freckles is waiting to meet you.
Freckles is ~3 years old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All she needs now is her forever home! We believe slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think she could learn to love a new dog friend.
Freckles is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along their route.

ROSES (Reducing Overpopulation: Spay/Neuter Education & Support) exists to conduct outreach, community education, fundraising, and service navigation to encourage spay/neuter for dogs and cats in overpopulated communities.
"ROSES Rescues" is an offshoot of this mission that helps the strays, rescue transfers, and owner surrenders that our volunteers and partners encounter and need help matching with forever homes.
We are located in Houston, Texas and are a FULLY foster-based rescue with no physical shelter location. We proudly transport our kitties to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and locations along those routes, so please feel free to check out our pets and see if we have a transport spot close to you!
