Meet Muffin, formerly known as Coco!
Muffin came to us as an owner surrender with a complicated past. What we`ve learned is that Muffin is 110% shiba, meeting all of the breed standards for temperament:
`The Shiba Inu has spirited boldness, good nature, unaffected forthrightness and an independent and reserved nature.` [From the breed club] `All these aspects are seen in the breed and sometimes in the same dog. Overall, though, Shibas tend to think of themselves first and all else after. People must be willing to adjust to the Shiba temperament and work with it, not against it. `
For Muffin, no truer words have ever been spoken. Muffin demonstrates keen intelligence alongside some challenging behaviors, which our team will gladly go over with interested adopters. He`s very smart, loves having a task and loves staring adoringly up into the eyes of his chosen people in between looking for those stale fries that fell between some couch cushions months ago and tracking squirrels outside.
He loves car rides, is crate trained, housetrained, walks well on a leash (unless he wants to follow his nose into the bushes, then you may have a shiba standoff. Shiba people know what we mean!) and has a cute little jaunty way about him that is just SO cute! He loves playing with his toys and will literally prance up, throw one at your feet and wait for you to throw it for him.
