Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you have a soft spot for orange fluffballs, this inseparable trio of 8-month-old siblings is looking for you! These fruity cuties are gentle, sweet, cuddly, and absolutely looking for love… and food. Did I mention food? These soft-as-a-cloud kittens are very food motivated. Churu = trust for these adorable three! Their ideal home is one that allows them to continue to blossom on their socialization journey. They are affectionate but very cautious of new people.
Mikan, the male, melts when petted and has a purr that could shake the house. He loves to play. Tired of the string toy? Just wiggle your toes under the covers! You’ll get that big kitten pounce!
Yuzu is the most vocal. Wondering when breakfast is? Yuzu has you covered! She wants you to think she’s going to talk to the manager, but really she’s just as much of a softie as her brother. She’s been mimicking our resident cats and climbing up on the bed next to them to get belly pets, too!
Kaki is a real lady. She is gentle and quiet. She loves to observe the action from a short distance and is very content to let her siblings dominate the attention. However, Kaki is still very much a kitten! She will pounce on a string toy when given the chance, butt-wiggle and all! She loves her cat tree sanctuary and is primed to be a very chill lap cat.
They are perfect with the litter box and have excellent manners. These three will require a quiet, predictable home with cat-savvy people experienced with under-socialized cats. No kids under twelve, please. These gorgeous babies have made great strides but are just at the beginning of blossoming into their best and bravest selves. They will need a forever family that is patient and unconditionally loving to help them continue gaining confidence and trust. - - - - - - - - - - - - - There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Mission
Pet Haven improves the lives of pets and the people who love them by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats; reducing pet overpopulation by supporting spay and neuter efforts, and providing resources to people that help strengthen the human-animal bond.
Our Vision
A Minnesota where all pets live in safe, loving homes.
Our Values
Excellence in service and care; community; integrity; innovation; perseverance; compassion; a rewarding place to volunteer
How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners
Foster: Committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs
Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
