My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bebe is a handsome, affectionate gentleman with a heart full of love and a strong desire to be the center of your world. He's the kind of cat who greets you with enthusiasm, soaks up every bit of attention you offer, and happily settles in for cuddles whenever you're near. If you're looking for a companion who genuinely enjoys people, Bebe is your guy.

While he adores humans, sharing space with other cats can be a bit overwhelming for him. Bebe thrives best as the only feline in the home, where he can relax, feel secure, and enjoy all the affection he's been waiting to give.

He's eager to find a family who will cherish him as much as he'll cherish them. If you're ready for a loyal, loving cat who wants nothing more than to be part of your everyday life, Bebe is ready to come home.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
