Piper is part of our "For the Love of Mastiffs" adoption event, and her adoption fee is waived! Meet Piper! Piper ended up in a shelter near St. Louis, MO, when she was abandoned by her owners. She's estimated at 11 years old. The shelter described her as kind and people oriented. She is calm, soft and amazingly gentle. She passed all of the shelter's handling, food, toy, and sociability tests with A+ behavior. Piper canbe dog selective. She prefers respectful, calm dogs or would love to be the only dogin the home. Cats are unknown this time. Piper is thankfully heartworm negative! She does have some elevated liver values on her labwork that we're getting rechecked. She also is showing signs of arthritis which is expected for a dog her age. We have started her on joint supplements to provide some extra support. Piper is being fostered in St. Charles, MO PLEASE NOTE: GPMR communicates primarily by email. GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs. GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. !!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!

Welcome to the Great Plains Mastiff Rescue Foundation Website! Great Plains Mastiff Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization made up of volunteers dedicated to saving Mastiffs in need. Our goal is to find a forever home and family for every mastiff that we rescue. We health check each mastiff that comes into our rescue program. This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, testing for worms and parasites and treatment, heartworm testing and treatment, and microchipping. Mission Statement: This Foundation aims to further the prevention of cruelty to animals with emphasis on the recovery of pets from life termination procedures and the ultimate adoption of such animals by the private sector, as well as education on how to prevent the overpopulation and unnecessary killing of animals.
