Meet Bruno! This handsome boy came into rescue when his owners were having a baby and felt like they weren't able to give him the time he deserved. We would agree with this, as it's clear Bruno didn't get out of his home much. He is a sweet dog only 14 months, but has not received much training and is very strong. His new owner will have to commit to bringing this boy through some obedience school, so he can learn to be the best dog he can be! Bruno was not socialized with dogs outside his home. He can be reactive to dogs who growl at him. If he is to live with other dogs, he will require very slow and gradual introductions for it to be a success. He needs canine companions who are dog friendly and well socialized with dogs so he has a positive rolemodel to show him the ropes. He also would do great as the only pet in the home. He has not been evaluated with cats. He would not be recommended for homes with small children due to his size and being unaware of his size. Bruno has a vet appointment and will have his hips xrayed. His legs turn outward some and so we want to have this evaluated. He doesn't seem to have problems with his back end so that's a good sign. We'll report back when we have more information! Bruno is being fostered in Licking, MO PLEASE NOTE: GPMR communicates primarily by email. If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions - drop us an email at GPMastiffRescue@gmail.com. We answer email inquiries daily. GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs. GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. !!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!

Mission Statement: This Foundation aims to further the prevention of cruelty to animals with emphasis on the recovery of pets from life termination procedures and the ultimate adoption of such animals by the private sector, as well as education on how to prevent the overpopulation and unnecessary killing of animals.
